Pottsville, PA-- Two Schuylkill County
candidates have been elected to serve
the 17th congressional district at the
republican national convention. Mary
Beth Dougherty and Scott Thomas, were
the top 2 candidates elected from a
large selection in Tuesday's primary.
Not only were they successful in
capturing the delegate position, but
they also won spots as alternate
delegate.

support," Thomas said late Tuesday
night.
