his victory party
Pottsville, PA-- The Pottsville Area School District has elected a new member to their board. 19 year old, Scott R. Thomas has been elected to the board with 3,395 votes. "I would like to thank the overwhelming support I received throughout the course of this campaign from the voters of the Pottsville School District," PASB Director-elect Scott Thomas said in delivering his victory speech.
Thomas campaigned hard on increasing the communication between the school board, students, teachers, and parents, as well as focusing on fiscal responsibility on the board. "I'm confident that this board can work together to continue the quality of education at Pottsville Area," Thomas said.
When Thomas takes office, he will become the youngest elected to the Pottsville School Board, and will bring a fresh perspective from a younger generation to the board. He is currently in his first term serving on the Republican State Committee.
