Thomas has officially taken office as a
Republican State Committeeman this weekend. At his first meeting
Thomas attended the Voter Registration Committee
where the committee discussed ways to return the primary election party
switchers back to the Republican Party.
Friday afternoon began with meeting National NRA Director Wayne LaPierre who stressed the importance of preserving the second amendment. In the evening the Republican State Committee held their annual summer dinner featuring former United States Senator Fred Thompson and former Lt. Governor of Maryland Michael Steele, both speakers spoke about the vital election of electing John McCain as President of the United States. Thomas had the opportunity to meet both speakers.
At the committee meeting Saturday morning, Thomas had the honor of leading the state committee meeting with the pledge of allegiance. The committee unanimously re-elected Bob Asher and Christine Toretti to the National Committee. Also this weekend the Philadelphia Inquirer interviewed Thomas who will be running a story on the Youngest Member of the Republican State Committee.
